Code of Conduct

A student of The Guru assumes the obligation to conduct himself/herself at all times in accordance with the highest standards of excellence, discipline, quality & character. The student should display exemplary conduct & hence, the following code of conduct is laid down for guidance.

Every student:
  • Shall respect & practice the rules & regulations of the school.
  • Shall obey his/her parents, teachers & elders.
  • Shall, by percept & example, be truthful.
  • Shall be courteous, friendly & cooperative, in & out of the school.
  • Shall avoid vulgarity in talk & behaviour
  • Shall be immaculately dressed in the school uniform
  • shall understand & respect the value of time, and
  • Shall be empathetic to the sufferings of others, have faith in God & lend a helping hand to all.

In addition to the above Code of Conduct, the following points must be kept in mind regarding general behaviour:

  • The school expects all the students to maintain a high standard of general behaviour.
  • Every student must wear the Identity Card of the school.
  • The students must converse in English inside the school campus.
  • Movement of students to the classrooms after the assembly, to & fro games classes, library, music room, dance room, laboratories, etc Ø should be in an orderly manner.
  • Students should invariably be polite & greet their elders whenever they meet them. Bullying & the use of foul language are unacceptable.
  • Senior students are expected to treat their younger schoolmates with love & affection while juniors should show respect to their seniors.
  • No student shall indulge in any of the following practices:
    • Writing on the school uniform.
    • Spitting in or near the school building.
    • Rowdy & rude behaviour.
    • Use of violence in any form.
    • Casteism, communalism or practice of untouchability.
    • Bursting of crackers or throwing of colours.
    • Consuming aerated drinks/junk food inside the school campus
    • Instigating other students to indulge in any kind of misbehaviour or activity which might bring disrepute to the school.
    • Boycott orders, instructions & directions given to them by the school authorities.
  • Students should be punctual & arrive at the school at least 10 minutes before the assembly.
  • Every student should affix his/her photograph & write the required information, duly signed by the parents in the space provided in the school diary & bring the school diary to school everyday.
